Event - Birdlip Run 27th July 2014

RETURN  BACK  NEXT

The annual 'Countryside Rally', that Barry likes to call the Birdlip Run, again pulled in the 'Sunday Drivers' for an enjoyable and sunny jaunt down to the Cotswolds and back.

The route this year went clockwise starting with breakfast at Yew Tree Farm in Wootten Wawen, heading off to Bidford, nearly making Chipping Campden (but somehow missed it) and on to the Lavender Farm at Snowshill.

Then it was a drive to the picnic lunch stop on Cleve Hill, across to and down Birdlip Hill, and then on to Tewkesbury for a cream tea.

For more, I suggest you peruse the photos (and captions) below.

1. Alan has DJ behind him ... just how good are the brakes on that TR7?

2. Martin tries to argue with something a little bigger than his motorbike

3. Lined up at Snowshill Lavender Farm

4. Onwards towards a quick pub stop ...

5. ... and then picnic lunch on top of Cleeve Hill

6. Looks like it was time to celebrate a birthday?

7. The Mears' dining table ... and empty wine bottles on it ... 8. Admiring the view! Another empty wine bottle 9. Ah! Hilary has found some more wine! Is there a theme here? 10. On top of Birdlip Hill, admiring the view before descending ... 11. Cream teas at Tewkesbury! 12. By the river at Tewkesbury!
