Nineteen members of Tangent and SLK enjoyed a superb Spring day in London, spending more than 2 hours in the Houses of Parliament. As you may expect, security was very tight when entering the Palace of Westminster, but despite one or two false starts waiting for Dick & Nina, as their journey from Solihull was disrupted, we all got safely through.

 

Once inside, we were treated to an excellent tour with an expert commentary from a retired Marine with 30 years service. He effectively gave us a history lesson on the Kings & Queens of England and on the British Constitution. He claimed to know the name of every single Member of the House of Lords - and I believed him!
